Pat / Brad / Geo;
Matt / Joe / Andy;
Greg / Nick / Vic |
An Eagle eye who shall remain nameless spotted
an Eagles nest of Rock Island. Upon closer inspection it turned
out to be an Osprey, I guess they are both birds
Meanwhile, in Greg's boat, Nick managed to
survive a day with his loving uncle. Somehow he managed to stay
out of his way all day. At the same time Nick entertained Vic,
who quite enjoyed watching him set the hook 20 times with every
bite he had.
As the rest of us enjoyed burgers for supper,
Geo took it upon himself to get Brad & Pat drunk, (I know,
inconceivable, right?) They were just offshore from our camp,
fishing until 11:00 PM trying to beat my trout.
We did observe some interesting talent as
it turns out Brad is an accomplished air guitar artiste. Brad
also taught me a new phrase: Rum, rum makes you dumb. I believe
the grand total for consumption in Geo's boat that day was 36
beers & a 26er of rum.
When Pat went for a walk on shore (AKA dump
time), he saw fresh bear tracks on shore. He did set a new speed
record for the fastest dump, err walk, but did suffer from some
nasty paper cuts in the end, if you know what I mean. Joe happened
upon an old bear stand when they toured the waters up past Red's
camp. I am always thankful we camp on an island. |
